Success Rate

We measure success, not only in terms of improved exam performance, but also in terms of improved self-esteem, the development of a more positive attitude to learning and more effective interactions with others.

The grades our pupils achieve in exams can be recorded as a definitive measure of the effectiveness of one aspect of our tuition.

Over the last six academic years we have assisted more than 91% of our pupils to pass their GCSE examinations(A*-C grade), and more than 95% to pass their AS and A2 examinations (A-E grade).

2003/4

AS/A2 - 100% passed (12.5% A grade)

GCSE - 92% passed (26% A/A* grade)

2004/5

AS/A2 - 100% passed ( 42% A grade)

GCSE - 85% passed (23% A/A* grade)

2005/6

AS/A2 - 89% passed (11% A grade)

GCSE - 91% passed (27% A/A* grade)

2006/7

AS/A2 - 92% passed (20% A grade)

GCSE - 82% passed (22% A/A* grade)

2007/8

AS/A2 - 96% passed (11% A grade)

GCSE - 97% passed (32% A/A* grade)

2008/9

AS/A2 - 97% passed (16% A grade)

GCSE - 100% passed (50% A/A* grade)

Another aspect by which we measure our effectiveness, is the extent to which our pupils benefit from the learning experience.

This is a difficult parameter to measure objectively, but may be assessed from the positive feedback received from both pupils and their parents, some of which are included in the ‘Testimonials’ section.
